Smart panels and circuit-sharing devices that can avoid a service upgrade in some homes.
HAXX handles the permit, the inspection and the PG&E work order.
Many East Palo Alto homes were built in the 1950s with modest electrical service. Adding a heat pump, EV charger or ADU often starts with the panel.
HAXX calculates the existing load before recommending an upgrade. Some homes can add equipment without one.
Federal Pacific, Zinsco and worn fuse or split-bus panels still turn up in older homes and are worth replacing.
Adding an ADU may need a subpanel or a larger service. HAXX sizes it to the plans submitted to the City.

“I purchased a couple of ceiling fans and was reluctant due to how old my house was with old wiring so I wanted someone professional and trustworthy. They have been both!”
“Prompt and professional - they helped run a new thermostat wire through a wall and crawl space.”
“I told him that the lights in my living room had been flickering for a while and asked if he could take a quick look. Instead of brushing it off, he immediately went to the main panel, asked a few questions, and then checked my subpanel in the garage.”

Yes. HAXX submits the application to the City Building Division, coordinates the PG&E disconnect and reconnect and attends the inspection.
Usually about one working day for a panel replacement, depending on PG&E scheduling.
Not always. A load calculation shows whether your current service can carry the new appliances, sometimes with load management. HAXX recommends an upgrade only when the numbers require it.
The panel swap itself is usually one day. Permits and utility scheduling for service upgrades can add several weeks, so plan early.
