Will a heat pump work in an older Piedmont house?
In most cases. Homes with usable ducts can take a ducted system; houses with radiators or no ducts often suit ductless or slim-ducted units. HAXX checks first.
Who supplies power in Piedmont, and are there rebates?
Ava Community Energy is the supplier and PG&E delivers. The city offers rebates for heat pump water heaters, panels, batteries and gas meter removal, plus income-qualified heat pump HVAC rebates.
Is my Piedmont panel big enough for an EV charger?
Often. A load calculation using Piedmont's rules shows what is left. If it is tight, load management, a smart panel or an upgrade solves it, and panels can qualify for a city rebate.
Do I need a permit in Piedmont?
