AC problems
we fix.
Central air conditioners, heat pumps in cooling mode and ductless systems. Most visits start with a full diagnostic so the repair targets the real cause.
AC will not turn on
Thermostat, breaker, disconnect, contactor and control-board testing.
Frozen coil or ice on lines
Usually airflow or refrigerant charge. We fix the cause, not just thaw the ice.
Weak airflow
Blower motors, dirty coils, clogged filters and duct problems that leave rooms warm.
Strange noises or smells
Buzzing, grinding or burning smells checked before a small problem becomes a failed compressor.
Water around the indoor unit
Condensate drains, pans and pumps cleared and tested.
SUNNYVALE DETAILSAC repair for
AC repair for
Sunnyvale homes.
Most Sunnyvale AC systems sit in attics or side yards of 1950s to 1970s homes. Heat waves bring the same handful of failures every summer.
01
Leaking coils
Older evaporator coils develop refrigerant leaks. HAXX finds the leak before adding refrigerant, and replaces the coil when that is the honest fix.
02
Capacitors and contactors
The most common no-start calls in July and August. The technician usually carries the parts.
03
Repairs are not affected by the new rule
Sunnyvale's reach code applies when an AC is replaced, not repaired. A sound system can be repaired as usual.

GOOD TO KNOW
AC Repair in Sunnyvale: questions, answered.
Can I still repair my AC in Sunnyvale?
Yes. Sunnyvale's reach code applies to replacing an air conditioner, not repairing it. HAXX repairs existing systems as usual.
Do you fix AC leaks?
Yes. HAXX tests for the leak, repairs or replaces the leaking part and recharges the system to the manufacturer's specification.
Can you come the same day?
Often, yes, in summer especially. Call and the team will confirm the earliest arrival window for your address.
Should I repair or replace my AC?
Compare the diagnosed fault, the repair price and the system's age and refrigerant. HAXX shows both paths so you can choose.
